No Gimmicks. Real Results.
The automotive industry is crowded with big claims that fall apart the moment the vehicle hits real heat, real load, or real time. “Lifetime” warranties, cut-price rebuilds, and exaggerated performance promises rarely survive their first real-world test.
At Brisbane Tuning & Turbo / Redorq, we do not trade in claims — we deliver proof. Every turbocharger, valve body, engine component and driveline part is validated under heat and pressure at factory level, the same way OEM engineers sign off units before release.
We price our work to get it right the first time: correct parts, correct procedures, correct results. No shortcuts. No false deadlines. No promises we cannot control. Only guaranteed workmanship and proven outcomes.
If you want gimmicks, competitors will gladly take your money.
If you want the job done once, done right, and proven to hold up in the real world — buy once, buy proven.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By authorising Brisbane Tuning & Turbo (BTT) to perform work on your vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions. These Terms are guided by Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”), which is publicly accessible.
2. Customer-Supplied Parts
Under Australian Consumer Law, BTT is entitled to refuse installation of customer-supplied parts. If such parts are accepted at our discretion:
• BTT is not responsible for failures caused by those parts.
• You indemnify BTT against any third-party claims, loss, or damage arising from those parts.
• No warranty applies to customer-supplied components.
3. Second-Hand Parts
Where second-hand parts are required or requested, BTT accepts no responsibility for the condition, performance, or longevity of such parts unless supplied by BTT and covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
4. Warranty – BTT-Supplied Parts & Labour
BTT provides 12 months warranty on labour and BTT-supplied parts unless the work is classified as Custom Work (Section 5).
If a BTT-supplied part fails under manufacturer warranty, BTT will replace the part and supply the labour required to rectify the issue.
BTT is not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, engine damage, towing, fines, penalties, or loss of revenue.
5. Custom Work (Engines, Turbos, Transmissions, Fabrication)
Custom Work refers to any job requiring modification, fabrication, building, or work performed according to customer instructions, including engines, turbochargers, transmissions, drivelines, and bespoke conversions.
• Warranty for Custom Work is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
• Timeframes for Custom Work may vary due to supplier delays, overseas freight, or technician availability.
• Estimates for Custom Work are provided under a “charge-up” basis unless otherwise stated.
6. Dyno Tuning and Dyno-Related Risk
Dyno testing places vehicles under high load beyond normal road use. If a failure occurs during dyno tuning or diagnostic load testing, and the issue was not foreseeable, BTT accepts no liability.
BTT will advise you if risks or abnormalities are detected; however, no responsibility is accepted for failures occurring due to pre-existing faults, hidden defects, deteriorated components, or underlying mechanical limitations.
7. Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered under any BTT warranty:
• Incorrect fuel or fuel with insufficient octane or cetane
• Failures due to overheating, pre-ignition, detonation, lubrication issues, or neglect
• Failures caused by external systems or parts not supplied by BTT
• Race use, overloading, off-road abuse, or towing beyond manufacturer limits
• Contaminated fluids, blocked coolers, foreign-object damage
• Engines or transmissions installed by third parties
• Tampering, disassembly, tune modifications, unauthorised adjustments
• Non-BTT parts or aftermarket power-adders such as nitrous, superchargers, or turbo kits
• Failures caused by insufficient vehicle systems, including cooling, fuel, oiling, induction, or exhaust systems
8. Storage Fees
If you fail to collect your vehicle within 2 days of receiving the final invoice and notice of completion, BTT may begin charging $30.00 per day for storage.
We reserve the right to apply this fee where workshop space or operational flow is affected.
9. Unpaid or Partially Paid Work
If a vehicle is collected without full payment, all warranties are void.
Outstanding invoices may be pursued as a recoverable debt.
10. Deposits, Interim Invoices & Progressive Payments
BTT may require deposits for labour exceeding four hours or where parts must be prepaid.
Interim or progressive invoices may be issued for long-term projects such as engine builds, transmission builds, rewiring, or fabrication.
Cancellations without 24 hours’ notice may result in deposit retention or restocking fees.
11. Transported Engines, Transmissions, Turbos
Units shipped to BTT must be complete and not disassembled unless authorised.
Shipping damage due to incorrect packaging is the sole responsibility of the customer.
12. Third-Party Suppliers & Contractors
BTT may engage third-party suppliers, contractors, or service providers.
We endeavour to ensure quality but are not liable for third-party actions, performance, or warranties.
13. Severability
If any clause in this document is deemed invalid or unenforceable, all remaining clauses shall continue in full force under Australian law.
14. Legal Right to Retain Your Vehicle (Repairer’s Lien)
Under Australian law, BTT has the legal right to retain possession of a vehicle until full payment has been made for authorised work.
This right arises from:
14.1 Repairer’s Lien — Australian Common Law
A possessory lien applies automatically when labour, skill, or materials are supplied at the owner’s request.
This gives BTT the right to hold the vehicle until the invoice is paid in full.
14.2 Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Section 73)
The PPSA confirms that repairer’s liens:
• Do not require registration
• Take priority over other security interests
• Remain valid while BTT retains possession of the vehicle
14.3 Australian Consumer Law (ACL Sections 60–64)
When a customer authorises work, the business is legally entitled to payment.
If payment is withheld, BTT is not required to release the vehicle.
What This Means for You as the Consumer
• BTT is legally entitled to retain your vehicle until full payment is received
• Removal of the vehicle without payment is unlawful
• Storage fees may apply
• BTT is not obliged to release the vehicle under any circumstances until the account is settled
15. Diagnostic Work Authorisation
By presenting a vehicle for inspection, the customer authorises BTT to perform diagnostic work necessary to identify faults or assess vehicle condition.
Diagnostic labour, tooling, scanning, disassembly (where required), and test drives may form part of the process.
Diagnostic fees are payable regardless of whether repairs proceed and are non-refundable once performed.
16. Vehicle Storage, Movement & Abandonment
BTT may move, relocate, or store a customer’s vehicle on-site or off-site as operationally required.
If a vehicle remains uncollected for more than 14 days after notification of completion, it may be considered abandoned.
BTT may then take lawful steps to recover outstanding storage, labour, parts, and recovery costs.
Storage fees continue until the vehicle is collected and the account is fully settled.
17. Test-Drive & Operational Consent
Customers authorise BTT to conduct any test drives or operational checks required for diagnostics, tuning, repair validation, or quality assurance.
These tests may involve operating the vehicle under normal or high-demand conditions, including load, boost, and temperature cycling.
BTT accepts no liability for failures caused by pre-existing conditions or underlying mechanical issues identified during testing.
18. Pre-Existing Faults & Vehicle Condition
BTT is not responsible for failures arising from pre-existing faults, deterioration, inadequate maintenance, prior repairs, incorrect installation, contamination, or system deficiencies.
Failures occurring during or after BTT’s work that are related to underlying wear or unrelated mechanical issues are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner unless directly attributed to a proven defect in BTT workmanship or BTT-supplied components.
